Bishop Larry André Davis

Presiding Bishop to the Fellowship of Churches in Christ, Incorporated & Apostle to the Nations

At the age of 21, while living in Middletown, Ohio I confessed Christ as Lord and Savior in my living room on January 16, 1975.  On the next night, January 17th, I was baptized with the Holy Spirit at Shiloh Holiness Tabernacle during a 30-day revival service preached by my pastor “to-be” for the next thirteen years; Reverend Davis Jones.

While pursuing the purpose and will of God for my life, I was ordained a Deacon of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church in June of 1975. I preached my first sermon and was licensed as a minister in January of 1978.  In the early 1980’s I was appointed Assistant Pastor at Evening Star Church of God in Christ.  I was appointed to, and served in several ministry leadership roles at the local, district, and regional levels while under the Pastorate of Reverend Jones.

A few years after the passing of my first wife (Janice) in 1984, I was united in marriage to Beverly A. (Sims) Davis in April of 1987 and led of God to Columbus, Ohio, the following November.  I was Ordained and appointed as Pastor of Faith Fellowship Temple Ministries in September of 1988 under the Bishopric of the late William M. James, the Presiding Prelate of the Ohio North Jurisdiction of the Churches of God in Christ at that time.

Several years later, I served as General Secretary of the Pentecostal Christian Churches under the leadership of Presiding Bishop William Nelson Clark.  Later, I was appointed Overseer of Ohio and served just under four years.

Through God’s leading and not always understanding it, God has brought my wife and me through many of life’s challenges and obstacles. As the Lord blessed and the Holy Spirit dealt with the hearts of a few pastors, God brought a few ministries together and I was elected to the position and responsibility of Presiding Bishop for a new Fellowship.  On April 29, 2001, I was formally consecrated to the office of the Presiding Bishop and given charge to oversee a new ministry work; the Fellowship of Churches in Christ, Incorporated.

After 11 years of serving as an Assistant Pastor in Middletown, Ohio and 24 years of serving together with my wife as Pastors in Columbus, Ohio, the Lord changed my assignment.  God led me to resign from the Pastorate on February 28, 2012, to step upinto the full functional roll of the Presiding Bishop to the Fellowship of Churches in Christ, Incorporated, and Apostle to the Nations.

Now, our assignment is to preach, teach, train and ordain, coach and mentor. Also, to develop and help facilitate new ministry startups as well as to re-launch ministries as the Lord shall lead.
